As you may be aware violence and unrest continue to escalate in Haiti and the country is in chaos. We continue to stay in touch with the parishes we support. Since they are in the southern part of the country they remain safe but the unsafe road conditions near the capital have delayed the delivery of food and other supplies. When asked about the situation in Marbial the pastor Fr. Herol responded:
“Good evening to you and to each member of your church, supporters of the parish of Sainte Thérèse de Marbial!
Yes, violence is gradually increasing in the country's capital (Port-au-Prince). I am doing well in Marbial….the Marbialese community is doing well, however the high cost of living and the division of the country are causing great hunger. Thank you for your solidarity, thank you for always thinking of the parish community (Marbial).” March 4, 2024
We will be sending an Easter gift to Haiti soon. Thank you for your ongoing generosity.
Here is a video of weekend Mass, maybe you can pull an image like last time. Thank you!
