Fr. Peter Kaseta, O.F.M. Cap., entered the order in 1959 and was  ordained in 1967. His first assignment was serving St. Francis Chapel in Springfield, Massachusetts, from 1968-1971. He was named the Director of Personnel for the Capuchin Province of St. Mary in 1971, where he served until 1978.

From 1978 to 1984, Fr. Kaseta served at St. John the Baptist Church in New York City. He held several positions at St. John's Friary in New York, including the head of the mission and development office and the director of communications before coming to Maine in 2002.
 
From 2002 to 2010, Fr. Kaseta served at St. Joseph Church in Portland before taking a one-year sabbatical. In September of 2011 until June of 2025, Fr. Kaseta was the parochial vicar at the Parish of the Holy Eucharist. As of July 1, 2025, Fr. Peter retired from his administrative role in the parish but remains a priest of our parish and offers two Masses each Sunday.
