Jeffrey Coggins, a liturgical musician, organist, harpsichordist, and collaborative pianist in southern Maine, is very pleased to be serving as the Music Minister at Holy Martyrs. He earned a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from USM School of Music in 2005 and has served as music minister for parishes in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Portland since then. Working with singers to cultivate a better understanding of the antiphons (Propers of the Mass) within settings of chant and homophony is a strong vocation of his, and he looks forward to sharing his musical gifts with the parish community.
 
He also currently serves as accompanist for Tri-City Community Chorus and Portland Symphony Orchestra’s Magic of Christmas Chorus. Prior positions include choral studies accompanist for USM School of Music and Saint Joseph’s College of Maine, as well as other public schools, community theaters, and district honors festivals around Maine.
